Welcome to our siteHere is a short video I made on Siege Weapons! In the past the weapons were used for protecting, today they are used for protecting also. Today we don't use siege weapons such as a Catapult, Trebuchet, Battering Ram or Siege Tower. Instead we use things like Tanks. We also use Mortars which are used in the military. In the Midlle Ages the siege weapons were used to destroy a castle or a kingdom. Today we use tanks and mortars to destroy buildings or to use in war. In the future the weapons will be much more complex. By then we will have jets on airplanes that drop better than atomic bombs. We will also have lasers instead of battering rams. WHAT I HAVE LEARNED I have learned a lot from this project. I learned that a Trebuchet, Catapult, Siege Tower, and a Battering Ram are all big siege weapons used in the Middle Ages. A trebuchet is used to tosses big and heavy objects into a castle wall or to destroy something. A catapult is almost the same except it hurls an object. A battering ram is used to batter down a castle wall in an attack. A siege tower is used to hold soldiers and large animals. It also has a drawbridge near the top so that the soldiers can walk off the siege tower through the drawbridge, be on top of the castle wall and manage to either open the gates or get more people to get on top of the castle wall. I have also learned to how to work in a group and to share work evenly so that one person doesn't get stuck doing all the work. I also learned all about Prezi. I have learned so much about it, how to create one and do all cool things on a Prezi. I also learned how to make a website. I have just fiddled around with the website and suddenly I was the expert at websites. I have also learned how to make an Animoto, although I didn't use it, my teacher and class taught me how to use it. |
